The world is dying. The force of the storm and the unstoppable disease ravage the fragments of the human race, and terrifying modern machines swarm their territories. Humanity on Earth is heading towards another end, and nobody has any idea what is causing it.
It's the job of Aloy to unravel the mysteries of these menaces and restore harmony and peace for the entire world. On her way she'll have to reconnect with old acquaintances, form alliances with rival factions as well as unravel the roots of the old past, as she tries to remain one step ahead of the seemingly invincible new adversary.
